LabV Intelligent Solutions GmbH expands into the Italian market. The company brings its AI-powered R&D platform to organisations in Italy looking to use their data more effectively to shorten development cycles and improve decision-making.
Many laboratories today rely on Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to document samples and processes. While these systems play an important role, they are often limited when it comes to integrating data from different sources, linking experimental results, formulations and historical data or enabling deeper analysis. As a result, relevant data remains distributed across instruments, files and systems, making it difficult to access and use effectively or apply AI.
LabV offers a LIMS alternative with its Material Intelligence Platform, designed to connect and structure material-related data and workflows across R&D. Instead of focusing only on sample tracking and documentation, the platform enables teams to combine data from experiments, formulations, documents and analytical systems in a central environment. This creates a consistent data foundation that enables AI-driven analyses to identify patterns, correlations and trends across R&D projects and experiments.
The platform is designed for R&D teams in industries such as paints and coatings, adhesives, chemicals and advanced materials. These are sectors that play a key role in the Italian industrial landscape. “With the expansion into Italy, we are responding to a clear need for better data connectivity and usability in industrial R&D,” says Charles Jouanique, Co-Founder at LabV. “Many organisations have invested in LIMS, but still struggle to bring their data together in a way that supports decision-making. This is where a our approach becomes relevant.”
In Italy, many industrial companies face increasing complexity in product development, combined with growing data volumes and fragmented system landscapes. By providing a platform that integrates data across sources and makes it accessible for analysis, LabV aims to support a more consistent and efficient way of working with R&D data.
LabV is already used by industrial companies such as Varta, J.W. Ostendorf and GEALAN, supporting teams in managing complex material data and improving data-driven development processes. The expansion in Italy includes local market development activities and partnerships to ensure close collaboration with customers and industry stakeholders in Italy.
