From Excel to AI: Formulation Development from A to Z
In this live demo, we walk through a practical development project—from formulations in Excel and scattered test results to analyzing the data together in LabV.
How much effort does it take to digitize formulation development? And when can AI make a useful contribution? In this live demo, we walk through a practical development project—from formulations in Excel and scattered test results to analyzing the data together in LabV.
We show how each step connects in everyday lab work:
- Bring data together: Keep raw materials, formulations, samples, and test results in one project.
- Develop formulations: Use existing formulations as a starting point. LabV calculates raw material costs and VOC content from the formulation and stored raw material data.
- Document experiments: Track formulation changes, derived samples, and deviations between target and actual weighed quantities.
- Build on existing knowledge: Find similar formulations and previous test results across projects. Keep questions and discussions alongside the relevant experiment.
- Use AI for analysis: The AI assistant helps identify outliers and explore relationships between raw material proportions and test results.
This session is for R&D professionals and managers who want to see how digital formulation development works in practice and where AI can support their work.
